I am recruiting Electronics Engineers, Senior Electronics Engineers and Principal Electronics Engineers to work with a FTSE 100 Engineering Support Services Organisation in Bristol. This role functions within their Marine and Technology Division which provides vital engineering services to key clients, such as the Royal Navy.

As part of the Launch Control System team, this role will be a mixture of electronic design and some software design.

Working within the Launch Control Systems team and reporting to the electronics team leader, you will design, develop and evaluate electronic systems and software. This would include involvement in the development of new products as well as supporting existing equipment

The ideal candidate would be experienced in the full life-cycle of a project from requirements capture, system definition, through design, implementation, testing and commissioning.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • HNC or Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computing, Robotics or related qualifications and experience.
  • Relevant industrial experience of control systems engineering within a real time environment.
  • Knowledge and practical development experience including fault finding experience, of at least one PLC or embedded processor system
  • Excellent communication skills, in particular specification and report writing.
  • Experience of "hands on" commissioning of electronic systems, with the ability to fault diagnose and perform corrective actions safely.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to learn new skills and quickly adapt to using new systems.
  • An understanding of the principles of design for EMC requirements.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to hold UK Security Clearance.
