Role: Senior PMO / Delivery Lead
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Worthing
Duration: 3-6 months

  • Manage escalation communications process to line-manager and client counterpart(s).
  • Effectively cascade communications to team members to ensure information alignment across project resources.
  • Chair regular project checkpoints and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to project lead meetings.
  • Run effective daily stand-up with onsite and offshore participation.
  • Manage and direct the execution and implementation of the delivery.
  • Ensure that the project completes the handover to Live process and engages service introduction.
  • Draft, maintain and submit artefacts including RFC; BoM; to compliment stringent sign-off quality gates.
  • Represent project delivery at Change Acceptance Board (CAB) to obtain sign-off for implementation.
  • Work with team leads and resource managers to appropriately resource project.
  • Accurately forecast and record staffing demand.
  • Track resource productivity and apply learnings to iterative resource planning process.
  • Identify project and cross-project risks and dependencies.
  • Manage dependencies and enact risk mitigations with escalations as necessary.
  • Escalate perceived or known risks through established governance processes.
  • Scheduling delivery tasks into a logical and achievable delivery plan.
  • Daily management of schedule.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to reschedule activities as and when parameters change.
  • Identifying critical path activities and managing accordingly.
  • Managing tasks to resource allocation in order to maximise productivity.
  • Providing real-time visibility of delivery status through ownership of project delivery toolset.
  • Manage change on the project ensuring that change is appropriately configuration managed.
  • Identify the impactors for both customer and project initiated change requests and manage the production of accurate responses in a timely manner.
  • Managing stretch objectives within a delivery schedule.
  • Accountable for the project cost base.
  • Balance budget constrains with demand planning and resource management to ensure prudent financial management.
  • Manage project costs and forecasts and present project costs and variances with required explanations at the monthly M review.
  • Good level of commercial awareness.
  • Develop and present business cases, feasibility and design proposals.
  • Proficient at managing the impacting and estimating process for proposals and change requests.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • ISEB Programme & Project Management Foundation Level
  • ISEB Programme & Project Management Advanced Level

Mandatory Business Skill

  • Be competent user of MS Office, Word, Excel, Access and Outlook, Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with dealing with all levels of management and the Client
  • Be proficient user of Business Objects and OPAL
  • Have an understanding of Project Management methodologies and associated tools knowledge, eg Niku, MSP2000
