Senior Payroll Administrator - Competitive Salary and Benefits - Portsmouth

Looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator for a leading global business on a permanent basis in Portsmouth.

This individual will ensure the timely and accurate payment of all payees on all occasions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. As a Senior Payroll Administrator this individual will have a minimum of 3 years current Payroll Experience and have exceptional administration skills.

Main Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Responsibility for Processing of weekly/monthly payrolls as assigned.
  • Timely/Accurate inputting of payroll related data. Including New Employee/Leaver Records.
  • Accurate updating of staff records via the Company Payroll System.
  • Efficient Production and maintenance of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Accurate checking and reconciling of payroll reports before BACS run.
  • Efficient transmission of correct BACS File for payments
  • Ensuring Statutory & Company Rules are correctly adhered to.
  • Accurate Monthly reconciliation for tax, NI and pension contributions.
  • Timely Process of Correct Employee Payments.
  • Accurate Input of Employee Tax & NIC Details.

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years Current Payroll Experience.
  • Administration skills essential.
  • GCSE in Maths & English.

Essential Technical & Specialist knowledge

  • Highly Proficient System User, with knowledge of its capability and practical application (SAP/Resource-link Desirable).
  • Good Microsoft Office IT skills.
  • High quality output and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Accountable - owns, communicates and delivers.
  • Customer Focus - puts the customer as the centre of focus.
  • Ability to interact with all departments.
