Join the DVLA as a Senior Network Engineer, and you'll help to build world class digital services on traditional on-premises systems as well as next-generation cloud-based services - paving the way for future business transformation.

As the technical lead, you'll undertake detailed design activities within the networks build team, manage on and off premises IT systems and support the delivery of software and infrastructure development projects. You'll provide technical leadership across the team - defining and implementing best practice; developing the team community; and taking responsibility for large and small changes, including designing and building services, components, platforms and tools.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in designing, delivering and supporting data/voice network technologies and firewall technologies, using vendors such as:

  • Juniper/Avaya/Nortel/Cisco enterprise class switching
  • F5 or similar load balancing/WAF/DDOS solutions
  • Wide Area Network Technologies and Vendor solutions, such as BGP, MPLS, OSPF and VPN technologies

  • ServiceNow or similar solutions

We're looking for Senior Network Engineers who have, or are working towards, their CCNP or JNCIP certifications, alongside experience in connectivity within cloud technology solutions and of delivering highly availability solutions within the cloud. You'll also be well-versed in how to deliver at pace, manage a quality service, collaborate with others, and deliver value for money.

Besides the rewarding nature of playing a key role in a major transformation project, you'll also receive an excellent benefits package. You'll receive a generous annual leave entitlement; attractive pension options; flexible working and childcare arrangements to enable a good work/life balance; and ongoing training and development opportunities.
