Senior Marketing Manager - Darlington / Leeds - Initial 3 month contract
Senior Marketing Manager to join a multinational telecommunications company based in Darlington and Leeds on an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend.

Candidates can choose their preferred location but may be required to travel as part of the role.

The role:
You will be responsible for building market share and profitability for the client's portfolios through effective concept-to-market, marketing activity and collaboration with Business and Public Sector channels, partners and vendors.

The ideal candidate should have experience of working within the telecommunications and have marketing campaign delivery experience in either B2B or B2C.

  • Ability to use insight to make operational decisions that support the growth aspirations of the unit
  • Customer data analytical capability
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal to influence and inform stakeholders
  • Ability to design compelling base campaign activity to excite and engage customers and deliver commercial results
  • Efficiently and consistently delivering brilliant campaign activity, securing stakeholder buy-in and working with Base Management, Central Marketing and appropriate channel team(s) to execute
  • Deliver high quality campaign creative in partnership with external agencies or the Central Marketing team
  • Managing a range of competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Mobile and digital marketing skills


  • Marketing or business related degree
  • CIM qualification

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign management with responsibility for virtual teams, project management, milestone planning and meeting deadlines.
  • Own the end-to-end campaign process including the who, what, when and why.
  • Work collaboratively with the central marketing team to agree the best execution of the marketing plan.
  • Horizon scanning and anticipating future market trends, base behaviour and customer expectations and opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing activity is measured and analysed, focussing on campaign optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all marketing communications are well defined, targeted, segmented and positioned and in-line with the brand vision.
  • Harness customer insights to increase NPS, improve customer experience
  • Understand and interprete rules and regulations relating to the telecoms industry, customer data and advertising and marketing campaigns to ensure all marketing activity is compliant.
  • Aligning all customer contact methods, including outbound calling, social, digital and service communications.
