Senior Manager, Project Management


Location: Central London

Salary: up to £95,000 base salary + bonus, generous benefits package (Pension Plan, Private medical insurance, Life assurance, income protection, employee assistance programme, employee discounts, etc.)

Senior Manager, Project Management - this exciting new opportunity has just come up with a leading established and innovative specialist financial services provider, due to expansion and team growth.

Working as a part of the Change team, you will manage directly a team of up to 5 people - a highly efficient and well regarded team, energetic and friendly. You will play a critical role in leading the delivery of product and service developments to support business growth and operational efficiency to support development of margins. You will oversee the delivery of substantial technology led transformation projects, manage relationships and engagement at all levels of the business, and ensure the change meets the required business objectives within the agreed timeframe and budget.


  • Own the end-to-end delivery of the project in order to achieve the set objectives
  • Manage and be accountable for budgets up to £5M
  • Lead project teams with up to 50 participants.
  • Oversee the creation of the project plans and assignment of tasks and responsibilities
  • Track plans to they are always up-to-date to facilitate delivery and progress reporting
  • Ensure delivery execution is aligned with project plans so that no resource issues are created
  • Engage and manage relationships with senior managers and directors.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal business and external 3rd party counterparts and ensure their continued buy-in to the plan
  • Manage project quality, risks and issues to protect delivery
  • Support programme project & change governance structures (e.g. Steering Committee)


  • Project management experience (ideally in financial services) - projects in excess of £1M
  • Experience of managing medium to large size cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement & negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and project financial skills
  • Experience of delivering digital solutions and leading projects with Agile delivery approach is desirable
