Senior Financial Analyst - Understanding of technology, Reporting, Analysis, Stakeholder management, Problem solving and Process improvement

We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with a multi-national technology company based in Central London. Role Summary:

This role will be a key partner working closely within the organisation to ensure they achieve their financial and operational goals. The position will involve end to end ownership of the financial requirements for the optimize program (a key strategic partnership with a third party) and related vendor management. This role will be responsible providing financial and analytical support to senior leadership, preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, management of the monthly close process, calculation and allocation of accruals, invoices and credits and assisting in key strategic projects

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for annual optimize program budgets and ongoing forecasts for opex and capex spend, both by organisation and project. This involves pulling together spend from disparate business units, geographical locations and financial systems.
  • Analysis and allocation of costs relating to the optimize program (wave 1 and wave 2) including calculation of accruals, project spend reporting and oversight of journals
  • Lead internal simplification effort to ensure all monthly processes are as efficient as possible.
  • Answer ad-hoc queries from Business Units and Corporate functions.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, anticipating and providing ideas for improvement and opportunities, especially related to the financial impact and reporting needs.
  • Provides analytical and business modelling support and participation in strategic, analytical or operational projects that identify and assess proposed actions taken to realize future opportunities.

Optimize background

  • The optimize program is a key strategic partnership with a third party vendor to cover core enhancement and ongoing maintenance for a defined set of assets. The aim is to drive cost and productivity efficiencies and leveraging benefits of outsourcing to low cost locations.

Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1-2 year's experience gained in Management Accounting or Performance Management roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting
  • Very organized and have the ability to multi task, managing time and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and people skills; ability to openly and confidently converse with senior management and influence all areas of the business
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously within the context of a complex, matrix organization to drive results
  • Ability to synthesize information and present results in a clear and concise manner to senior executives
  • A proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential

Education/ Certifications:

  • Professional finance qualification ( CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
