Title: Senior Electro-mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Aberdeen, UKSalary: Competitive We're currently looking for an experienced Senior Electro-mechanical Design Engineer to join a global leader in the Oil and Gas Industry.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer will be required to take technical ownership for scopes of work associated with the Inspection, Maintenance and Repair 'IMR' programme. These scopes will pertain principally to the uROV Platform, advanced sensor development and digital enablement, with bias toward the former. The nature of the work will be principally electrical and mechanical engineering. The Senior Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer is expected to be able to work with a reasonable degree of autonomy, coordinating challenging interfaces across the organisation. The role may require that the candidate travels for internal and external engagements including occasional and infrequent offshore activity, though it is stressed that this is a shore-based role. RequirementsAn engineering degree in an electrical, or electro-mechanical biased disciplineStrong experience in the fields of electrical, or electro-mechanical engineering for the subsea offshore industryStrong experience in the authoring and reviewing of technical documentation associated with equipment testing/qualification, operation and maintenance for the subsea offshore industryExperience of typical subtractive, welding and additive manufacturing techniques.Strong experience in the authoring and reviewing of technical drawingFamiliarity with design codes and standards associated with electrical engineering for topside and subsea applicationsFamiliarity with typical design codes and standards associated with technology developed for the subsea offshore industryMachinery Directive 2006/4/EC with experience of CE marking for shore-based liftsExperience of working in a fast-paced new product development 'NPD' environmentExperience of engineering techniques and tools to support the development of new technologyExperience of typical industry recognised tools for the assessment of risk (Eg: FMECA, HAZID, HAZOP)have a working knowledge of engineering analysis packages (Eg: MathCAD, Mathematica, Maple)Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD packagesWorking knowledge of finite element analysis packages in the domain of elastic structural analysis (Eg: Ansys Workbench) It would be beneficial if the candidate also has experience of the following:Remotely Operated Vehicle 'ROV' technology and operationsSubsea survey technology and operationsAutonomous subsea vehicle developmentOffshore experience in fields noted If you'd like to be considered for the role please apply via the link.
