This is a great opportunity for a Senior eCommerce Lead to work across UK and Spanish teams, working particularly closely with the UK and Spanish eCommerce teams to deliver the launch of a new website, platform and go-to-market plan.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities

The eCommerce Manager is responsible for defining and owning the new customer purchase journeys - for working with the Product and Technology teams to deliver on these. You'll use data and insights to help prioritise the workstack to ensure we are working on the right things to deliver the best possible experience for visitors. You'll work collaboratively with our centralised International eCommerce team - as well as Spanish Marketing and Trading teams to ensure we are able to support their campaigns online, from the development of new functionality to ensuring the right analytics solutions are in place to track performance. Your focus is to ensure we launch our new site successfully, applying the learnings and understanding from the broader group along with key in market recommendations, alongside ensuring that the first few months post launch we deliver exponential conversion rate growth and help advise and contribute to us defining our future operating model. Specifically, you will:

  • To act as a single point of contact for the eCommerce team between UK and Spain located stakeholders - to deliver on the launch and first few months of post-launch optimisation
  • Provide vision and direction to Technology - supporting any scrum prioritisation (working with and alongside scrum Product owners). This includes contributing to the feature backlog
  • To help define requirements, taking into account existing recommendations across both SEO and Ecommerce - although primarily and once you understand all the existing features of the international platform, you will be seeking ways to leverage the capability and ensure the maximum benefit is delivered from the outset
  • Provide insight led, strategic recommendations supported by data, to drive improvements in conversion. You will be the initial lead across all optimisation planning and execution, including A/B and MVT planning
  • Manage the user testing and focus groups required to ensure business readiness for the new launch
  • Line manage both an eCommerce Lead and MVT Lead - who will support you in the delivery (and production) of all the pages for launch, required MVT testing and broader ongoing updating and merchandising
  • Develop excellent relationships with the eCommerce Product Lead and Technology teams to ensure we are prioritising the right things at the right time.

Candidate Specification

To be successful in this role you must have an excellent understanding of eCommerce principles - including both a technical and UX./UI understanding of site development, as well as the ability to analysis performance and draw insights. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable presenting concepts and designs to stakeholders to get buy in. Despite significant eCommerce experience and expertise, you also have a good general understanding of online marketing and have previously worked in an online marketing department. Above all, you must possess interminable levels of enthusiasm in order that you are constantly optimising and growing our eCommerce business.

About You

  • You possess an in-depth knowledge of eCommerce, derived from a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • You are skilled at project and product planning, including product definition, feature prioritisation and trade-off processes
  • You understand the technical side of eCommerce and are comfortable talking to developers to translate your ideas and give clear direction
  • You have excellent analytical skills and experience of using web analytical packages to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and are fluent in English and Spanish
  • You are a self-starter with strong bias for action
