An opportunity has arisen to join a fun and diverse Finance Team at a global recruitment company. As Senior Credit Controller, it will be your responsibility to chase debts, ensure timely payments are made, run your own ledger and have the gravitas to build relationships with a variety of people.

It is a top performing company, and whilst the team are all exceptionally hard-working and driven, they are just as focused on making it a fun and happy working environment, with plenty of social activities along the way. You will be based in a shared office of two recruitment companies, allowing for a great culture and office atmosphere. Fantastic location 2 minutes from Blackfriars station, with Farringdon and St Pauls just a short walk away.

  • Preparing monthly collections processes within prescribed guidelines. Performing follow-ups ensuring to collect outstanding balances by email and telephone.
  • Maintaining accounts receivable customer files and records.
  • Chase overdue invoices via telephone and proactively prevent possible bad debt
  • Maintaining and updating the ledger database
  • Undertaking complex reconciliations and investigating any queries that may arise
  • Preparing documentation for legal action
  • Handle queries
  • Liaising with relevant Staff and Senior Managers to support collection of monies outstanding as required.
  • Investigating and clearing of old outstanding balances.
  • Liaising with internal and external parties to resolve queries as necessary.
  • Fostering and maintaining good business relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Identifying and recommending process improvements related to own work.

In terms of you…

  • Previous Credit Control experience.
  • Experience in dealing with your own ledger.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Initiative and imagination to achieve targeted results.
  • A good team player!
