Here at Babcock International we are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Officer based in Bristol. The successful Senior Commercial officer will provide commercial support to both commercial and project teams to ensure the commercial and business interest of the company are optimised and its objectives met or exceeded.

The role is varied and will suit a dynamic individual who wants to excel in the commercial environment within a large FTSE 250 organisation. From day to day, you will be managing and protecting the company's intellectual property to supporting risk management activities.

To provide general management and contractual information, and assist with resource forecasts and costings, to ensure they are properly constructed and achieved. To ensure an accurate audit trail of commercial decisions is maintained and commercial administration is kept up to date.

What do you need to do the role?

A strong background within a commercial role ideally with a degree in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Business Law, Accountancy or similar.

We would also like you to hold all or some of the following:

  • Experience in providing commercial support to operational contract / projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills in a customer-facing environment.
  • Good organisational ability along with being self-driven and pro-active.

Successful candidates will be required to be able to attain SC clearance once in this post if not already held.
