Developer / C# Developer / Senior Developer

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior C# Developer to join a small and well-established development team within the specialist investment department which sits within the wider remit of a world-leading insurance company. Based within their Central London office, you will enjoy the autonomous culture of a small team that is able to reward entrepreneurialism and creativity, whilst benefitting from the backing of a globally prestigious organisation.

What will you do?

Lead and manage the development of legacy and new applications, including the technical re-fresh of legacy code. You will lead and manage the delivery of code for small development projects and programmes, and will be responsible for mentoring junior staff members, ensuring that skills and capacities of the team are maintained to support the delivery of all objectives. You will support the Head of IT in the development of a detailed annual IT improvement plan, as well as being responsible for the development and delivery of 'continuous improvement plans' within the team.

What do you need?

The successful candidate will have extensive prior experience of Software Development using C#, ASP.Net and SQL Server. A background in the Financial Services sector will be beneficial, but not essential, and you should ideally have experience with MVC, Angular JS, HTML and unit/system testing. Strong communications skills are important for this role, in order to liaise with internal stakeholders and key customers to ensure that requirements are met and to champion the development team within the wider organisation.

The Package

The role will pay between £55,000 and £65,000 depending on experience, and will include an excellent flexible benefits package and bonus.
