Senior Bid Manager


£50,000 - £60,000

Senior Bid Manager required by an Engineering Support Services organisation based in Portsmouth. The organisation operates a number of outsourced contracts within training services provided to the Royal Navy. You will overall be expected to manage the day to day bid effort of an extremely complex bid, including governance, solution development and bid production.

What you will be doing

  • Ensuring the effective tasking and contribution of all staff on the bid
  • To challenge the status-quo on our bid approach and solution development to ensure our bid meets the innovation, quality and pricing criteria
  • Manage the development of the technical, commercial and financial solution as the bid progresses with the relevant support staff
  • Manage internal resources to ensure all areas of the bid are correctly represented
  • Ensure consistency across the bid in quality, style, format and language
  • Create and maintain a risk register for the bid in line with Company processes

What you must have

  • Major and complex bid management experience and skills
  • Ability to work within a structured programme and project management process.
  • Awareness of contracting methods
  • Well-developed writing and narrative skills (able to create a compelling bid)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Good attention to detail
