We currently have an opportunity for an Analyst, Senior Analyst and Principal Analyst to join the Planning and Performance team in Bristol. This is a new team build working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in providing information to develop and implement strategies to ensure the cost effectiveness and sustainability of the business.
  • Collect and sanitise data that underpins the integrity of the Planning and Performance function, and liaise with the appropriate personnel to ensure its validity.
  • Proactively seek to improve the quality of data received form a number of different systems, ensuring the business are forecasting based on accurate data.
  • Deliver inventory optimisations analysis to the Support business.
  • Provide visibility of Customer Demand to the business to maximise performance and profitability (Demand Plans).
  • Deliver information to the business to optimise our engagement with our supply base (Supply Planning).
  • Work with the relevant teams to resolve any issues, so as not to affect demand and supply performance.
  • Interpret the team's outputs and make substantive recommendations to the stakeholders involved.
  • Peer review of the Planning & Performance teams outputs prior to publishing.
  • Support the development of people, tools and processes of the Planning & Performance team.
  • Analyse the performance of the Support business and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify areas for improvement, working with relevant teams to develop processes.

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Numerate and able to communicate well at all levels, both verbally and through formal written correspondence.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, as well as other corporate IT systems and tools as required.
  • Knowledge of MoD systems (CRISP especially) highly beneficial, but not essential
  • Relevant experience of Business and equipment analysis, Analysing large sets of data, ERP systems, Data cleansing, Stakeholder engagement
