Self-Employed Disability Analyst
PIP Disability Analyst, Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Paramedic in Reading - Flexible Hours/Self-Employed
Base Location: Reading
Remuneration: Day rate £125 plus a fee of £35 per case - OTE £300 per day
Hours: Part-time or Full time (minimum of 13 days per month) - 9 month fixed term contract
sjb medical is seeking experienced RGNs, RMNs, RNLDs, Physios, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics with prior contracting experience to train and qualify as a Disability Analyst, as part of a successful integrated team.
You will be working on a self-employed basis in an important public facing role that enables the government to make informed decisions about an individual's support. You will aim to complete 4 to 5 health and disability assessments for each day worked and be incentivised to achieve productivity and stringent quality/timescale measures for each element of the assessment.

Role Overview:
Are you an experienced practitioner keen to further develop your skills whilst improving your work life balance? Are you an excellent communicator, highly motivated and flexible?
As a Disability Analyst you will undertake face-to-face assessments and compile detailed medical reports, working with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, including physical, sensory, mental health and cognitive issues.
Your primary role will be to conduct health and disability assessments in line with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) guidelines for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
It is a flexible role that requires health professionals to work both within local assessment centres and to carry out consultations at claimants' homes in and around the Reading area. There will a requirement to work autonomously and skills in report writing would be beneficial.
Successful candidates will benefit from comprehensive training at a regional training venue prior to starting. You will earn £175 - £200 per training day, whilst gaining valuable professional development. This role requires full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week) for the initial 3-5 months. You will also benefit from ongoing CPD and revalidation support.
Essential Requirements:
* Full registration with the NMC / HCPC a Nurse, Physio, Paramedic or OT and continuous professional development maintained
* Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience within a range of clinical settings
* Prior experience of working as a contractor, with your own limited company operational and associated documentation
* IT literate including ability to use MS office suites e.g. Word
* Professional Indemnity insurance to a minimum level of £1,000,000 per each and every claim
* Public Liability insurance to a minimum level of £1,000,000 per each and every claim
* Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills with sound IT abilities (MS Word)
* Able to work autonomously and on a self-employed basis
* This role is outside of restrictions for IR35
