Role: Security Architect
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: Leeds

The Security Architect will play a crucial role in supporting projects across the business and the delivery of key security controls with the delivery teams.

You will be responsible for providing the necessary support and requirements to others to ensure we remain secure and compliant. The Security Architect will also need to support the wider security and compliance function through the design and delivery of security controls, identification of new and changing requirements and in response to new and emerging threats.

Reporting to the Enterprise Security Architect you will:

  • Supporting projects and initiatives in an advisory capacity as a security SME
  • Identifying and providing requirements to projects and initiatives
  • Ensure requirements are met (implementation governance)
  • Production of architectural patterns/designs and standards
  • Supply security requirements into projects and RFPs
  • Drive improvements, support compliance through the execution of our security strategy
  • Support and influence technical strategy

To be successful in this role you'll need the following skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards e.g. ISO2700x, NIST, CSA and demonstrable experience of defining and deploying policies, patterns and standards
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and incorporation of security and compliance requirements
  • Experience of working with key regulations/industry standards e.g. GDPR/Privacy, PCI, UKGC, SOX, FCA, etc.
  • Experience of working with Cloud Technologies (e.g. AWS)
  • Qualifications in any of the following would be desirable:
  • CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA, CCSP, SANS GIAC
