Security Architect (CISSP, JSP, TOGAF) - Bristol + Travel - 12 Month Contract

My client, one of the UK's largest telecoms providers is looking to hire a Security Architect to support one of the large programmes they are carrying out with a Defence end client. The role will be primarily based in Bristol with some travel to customer sites around the UK expected over the life of the contract and can offer a competitive daily rate.

Role Background:

  • The successful individual will feed into the Lead Security Architect and be responsible for analysing customer requirements as well as building the right solution for my client and the relevant 3rd
  • You will Govern, lead and influence cost of solution with Commercial acumen that aligns the solution creating to win themes and win price for customer.
  • Also you will be responsible for identifying and closing gaps in the solution mitigating risk and leading through governance processes.
  • Providing end-to-end security architecture ownership leading, through accountability and governance throughout the Solutions Design engagement life-cycle.
  • Leading successful bids through the delivery lifecycle - matrix managing the right skills needed to deliver.

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Candidates should have extensive knowledge of Information Assurance and Security architecture disciplines as well as the ability to create complex Security solution propositions and bid proposals.
  • You will also need exposure to Information Assurance policies (JSP440, JSP604) and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation.
  • The client has also expressed a desire to speak with candidate who hold a CISSP Certification.
  • Any exposure to implementation of Cyber Risk mitigation strategies in relation to Business Risk Management and creating Information Assurance risk assessments.
  • Any experience working within the defence sector is desirable as is applying architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe Agilist).
  • Both pre-sales and delivery experience would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • Candidates should hold an active SC/DV Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process prior to joining my client.
