Scrum Master-

Duration- 6 month contract

Location- Osterley, West London

Your key responsibilities

  • Accountable for the output of the team, by removing impediments, accurately measuring velocity and validating product roadmaps with the business.
  • Ensure that the team is empowered, yet has solid processes and good discipline
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key programme and business stakeholders
  • Take a pro-active role with production issues and release management
  • Continuously challenge the ways of working within both the team and the programme as a whole, and be able to effectively address both process and people issues within your team and the programme as a whole where they are affecting your team's delivery
  • Provide Line Management for the feature team, including career/personal development, recruitment, disciplinary issue
  • Ensure effective sprint and high level planning for your feature team, as well as ensuring the team have the right skills to deliver each feature on its backlog
  • Provide support and coaching to team and ensure agreed standard process is being followed in all the feature teams
  • Effectively deal with team and programme planning or delivery issues
  • Represent all the feature teams in programme prioritisation and planning sessions when needed
  • Report effectively on the progress of development or estimation, and escalate any issues in a considered and timely manner

Your skills

  • Excellent people skills - can work with a diverse range of personalities
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional planning skills - being able to plan for multiple features, across multiple components, with multiple skillsets, as well as being able to plan for increases or decreases in team capacity
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects in an agile environment
  • Proven track record of process improvement and governance
  • Experience of working with teams that produce high capacity, high traffic, high availability systems would be beneficial
  • Experience managing Senior Stakeholder relations, expectations and issues
  • Experience building new Scrum Teams
  • Experience supporting Production systems with 24 hour availability
  • Brings energy and passion to the role
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent industry experience
