Fancy working for a large global travel company? My client is looking for an experience Scala Developer to work in London, on a 6 month contract. Please apply immediately if you would like to be considered.

What can you expect when joining our team as a Scala Software Engineer?

  • Working for a product-focused backend team that owns some of the mission-critical services at our client, together with our other skilled engineering teams and stakeholders

Which skills and capabilities we value in a Scala Software Engineer:

We don't believe in matching people against a list of buzzwords. We look for smart people with good general programming skills as we believe that clever developers can learn new technologies quickly and well. However it wouldn't hurt if you have experience with some of the following (or at least an interest in learning them):

  • Good experience of Scala
  • You know what it takes to design good REST-ful APIs
  • Experience of developing software in an Agile environment with a DevOps mind-set.
  • Evidence of self-learning and a passion to learn new technologies.
  • You are an advocate of TDD and continuous deployment
  • You are passionate about reducing cycle time and know the value it brings to your business
  • You are a strong communicator and team player
  • Motivated and enthused by difficulty & challenge, coupled with a strong competitive nature to excel and be the best
