Role: SC Cleared Transition Lead

Description:

Atos has been engaged with the MOD team since 2013, assisting the MOD to define its strategy, design the target operating model, and to define and implement the operating processes for ISS. An Interim Test Support Partner (iTSP) is now in place to operate the Test, Change and Transition (TCT) capability in readiness to handover to the full TSP which is anticipated to onboard in Q1/Q2 2019.

A TCT team has been set up to support the integration of services from multiple providers into a live Defence network; to provide an independent Enterprise-wide Integration Test and Validation Service; and to manage the transition of service providers in or out of the future MOD 'defence as a platform' supply chain model.

This specific role is for a Transition Lead to assist the ISS Transition Planning and Support (TPS) Lead (B2) by providing subject matter expertise on the building and maturing of the TPS capability.

Responsibilities

role reports to the TCT Manager and is part of the TCT Core Test Capability. This is a strategic role that requires the ability to plan and influence the shaping of the TPS capability. Specific activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the TCT Manager and other ISS process leads to uplift and revise the Transition Management process
  • Document the process accurately and facilitate reviews with relevant parties across the organisation
  • Ensure coherence with other interacting SIAM processes
  • Participate in the ISS process for exercising and approving the process uplift
  • Define and document the associated Transition management procedures and work instructions
  • Review and update of Transition artefact templates
  • Produce a resource supply and demand model, underpinned by the Forward Schedule of Test and Transition (FST), and use this to manage supply and demand of Transition resources across the portfolio
  • Use the FST and the ISS organisational strategic plan to prioritise the projects with which TCT will engage
  • Work with ISS projects, providing Subject Matter Expert knowledge to support the identification of Transition requirements, identify and recommend resolution for gaps or issues that may prevent or complicate the technical or service transition to live
  • Ensure detailed Transition plans are created to identify all Transition tasks, dependencies, and responsibilities are identified and managed appropriately
  • Liaise with projects to ensure they are addressing the organisational readiness aspects of Transition into Live
  • Input to the TCT RAID as appropriate
  • Provide regular project Test status reports to the TCT Manager
Essential Skills

* A strong understanding of Technical and Service Management Transition
* A direct 'hands on' approach and understanding of the practicalities and challenges experienced in transitioning IT systems to Live
* Demonstrates an analytical and structured approach to problem solving
* Familiarity with Service Management in a multi-supplier environment (SIAM)
* Experience delivering as a supplier into a challenging client environment
* Risk management, using techniques to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions
* Strong influencing and excellent communication skills to provide effective stakeholder management
* Valid SC clearance

* ITILv3 Foundation/Intermediate
