We require an experienced, Agile Business Analyst to work on Discovery phases for a Transactional data, Automated Migration and Bulk Migration Project as well as support future releases running in parallel to Migration Project.

The Business Analyst tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitating the elicitation and understanding of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders. This includes stakeholders on both the IT and the business side of the organisation.
  • Requirements management including assurance of translation into technical solutions.
  • Requirements analysis and validation
  • Evaluation of existing business processes impacted by the technology changes to identify necessary change.
  • Facilitating/contribute design sessions with the development team to define the solution.
  • Delivering elements of systems design, including data and business rules, other detailed deliverables.
  • Investigating, evaluating, interpreting and classifying data, in order to define and clarify information structures.
  • Analysis of migration processes and mapping priorities
  • Creating overarching documentation aligned to SDDs, providing data flow diagrams and models showing the movement of data across systems.
  • Contributing to the design and review of test cases.
  • Cost /benefit analysis for options
  • Reporting and statistical analysis

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working with IT projects spanning multiple teams and business areas
  • Experience in working projects in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Experience in re-engineering/transformation of data from legacy systems
  • Experience in mapping to-be technical solutions
  • Knowledge and experience with data integration, data store and data mapping, development, and/or projects
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • System Process re-engineering

Business Skills:

  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills, including technical writing ability (including UML).
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, facilitation, diplomacy and prioritisation skills in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Problem-solving while working in a time-boxed delivery environment.
  • Leadership, team working and collaboration.
  • Strong technical skills; ability to work in a large, complex IT estate
  • Knowledge and experience with data integration, data store and data mapping, development projects.

The successful candidate will hold active SC clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the relevant checks.
