SAP HCM Payroll Specialist - Coventry - 10-month contract

Our client in the utilities industry requires a SAP HCM Payroll Specialist to join their Payroll BAU Project team based in Coventry, on a 10-month contract.

The role:

  • You will be working supporting the changes to the payroll system within the Payroll BAU Project team.

Key Skills
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Worked on all phases of at least 3 Implementation cycles
  • Previously worked as a support consultant and can independently support the on-going Payroll activities without any interruptions
  • Extensive experience of working on SAP Payroll and HCM Module
  • An in-depth understanding of Organisation Management and up to date knowledge of GB Payroll requirements and regulations
  • Relevant functionality in SAP to ensure legal compliance is consistently maintained.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and pre-post payroll activities required in SAP Payroll.
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data during internal and external communications
  • In-depth knowledge of Payroll Schemas and PCRs and skills to investigate and resolve any queries from the Payroll Team on Statutory and Occupational Absence schemes processing, Payrolling Company Cars Benefits, Flexible Benefits processing, RTI Submissions, Pension and NI processing
  • The ability to resolve any issues in End of Year processing, Forms, Start of the Year Processing, Posting to Finance, and Time Management
  • The ability to support Travel and Expenses module and conduct impact analysis
  • The ability to write Test Scripts and perform User Acceptance Testing for all the changes that are put in SAP
  • Expert level knowledge of all submissions from SAP to HMRC through e-filing
  • Written LSMWs for SAP standard Infotypes, Custom Infotypes and for tables
  • In-depth knowledge of various ways of system integrations and to support queries, issues and requests
  • Basic ABAP knowledge to debug issues in standard/custom programs and write requirement specs accordingly pin-pointing specifics

Background Screening:
You should be willing to undergo any screening checks carried out by the client. Once on site, you will need to undergo adhoc alcohol and drugs tests.
