Safety & Reliability Engineer Location: Cheltenham Job Type: Permanent, Full Time We are currently recruiting a Technical Specialist Safety & Reliability Engineer at a world-leading Engineering company. The company is listed on the FTSE250 and works in the defence and aerospace industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with safety, reliability and supportability experience to join the team and demonstrate their excellent understanding and experience to make a safer, more efficient work environment. You will be responsible for - · Providing an overall technical safety, reliability and supportability approach for the business · Managing contractor safety, reliability and supportability · Identifying and analysing customer's requirements for safety and testability · Generating appropriate plans and case reports · Providing guidance for the design of safety and reliability within the engineering design teams · Influencing the design and development of engineering solutions to be safe and supportable · Conducting reviews of the safety requirements in line with international legislation You will have the following- · Degree or HNC in an engineering or science discipline · Understanding of FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis · A background in electronics would be extremely desirable · Understanding of the product development lifecycle · Experience of practices to ISO9001 & AS9100 standards · Experience of Mechanical Engineering would be very desirable, especially from aerospace, defence or similar · Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box · Excellent communication skills · Good IT skills (Windows, Office, Visio etc) You will be joining a company with the commitment to produce only the highest quality parts, and strive for excellence in everything they do.
