Job Title: Risk, Training & Development Consultant
Location: Edinburgh
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months

Role Context
The Risk and Compliance Learning & Development Consultant role exists in the Risk and Compliance Integration Programme to support the integration of client functions. The overall programme is expected to last for 2 years. This role is initially for 6 months. A review of the requirement for subsequent months and years will take place in June of 2018.

Role Purpose
This role is specifically focused on managing and delivering the Training, Learning and Development activity required for the Risk and Compliance integration programme and for any Risk and Compliance involvement in wider business integration programmes. Broadly the role will be to conduct detailed Learning Needs Analysis, Design, Delivery and Evaluation of learning interventions for the internal R&C team and any wider business R&C related learning required for integration activity requiring R&C support or direction.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide focused learning and development expertise to internal Risk and Compliance clients
· Develop an integrated Learning and Development strategy and plan for the Risk and Compliance Integration Programme, aligned to the needs of all other R&C integration workstreams
· Engage key stakeholders to conduct detailed Learning and Training Needs Analysis per R&C Integration workstream to inform planning and the design and delivery of a wide range of effective learning interventions to support integration activity
· To oversee and manage engagements (as Work Stream Lead for R&C Integration Training), taking responsibility for project planning, quality of deliverables and project risks, whilst also understanding commercial drivers
· To support the drive towards a harmonised, fully integrated, best in class Risk and Compliance function
· To work collaboratively with the R&C integration team, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to ensure delivery of learning interventions as needed for critical timelines
· To keep abreast of regulatory or industry issues that may affect the requirements for Risk and Compliance training and professional development
· Design and deliver innovative, efficient, effective and engaging learning solutions to achieve desired learning outcomes
· Develop relationships with global learning and development stakeholders to enable and align plans for utilising internal learning management systems
· Plan, co-ordinate and manage all of the training required for internal Risk & Compliance teams to integrate fully
· Plan, co-ordinate and manage any additional business wide Risk and Compliance related training needed to support wider business integration, including any mandatory e learning required
· Produce risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies log for the training plan and track changes
· Regularly report on training activity, to feed into overall Risk & Compliance Integration Programme Steering Committee
· Oversee the expenditure against allocated training budget and ensure its use is fully maximised
· Liaise and work closely with the R&C Integration Programme team and Senior sponsors

Key Outcomes
· Successful delivery of learning and development interventions, achieving target learning outcomes and realising desired business outcomes for to support Risk and Compliance integration related activity and team collaboration (which will then contribute to synergy savings)

Skills & Experience

· Expert Learning and Development professional knowledge and practice
· Strong knowledge of Risk and Compliance processes and procedures
· Strong knowledge of Risk and Compliance Mandatory and Regulatory learning solutions and learning management systems for delivery, tracking and reporting
· Highly experienced in managing and delivering Training Programmes for a change projects
· Skilled communicator with extensive experience of the design, facilitation and delivery of learning events or workshops
· Experience of designing and implementing innovative and engaging learning solutions to accelerate adoption of learning, encourage collaboration, raise levels of engagement, deliver key messages and achieve desired learning outcomes
· Ability to effectively plan and deliver multiple learning interventions for a wide range of clients at the same time
· Ability operate comfortably and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
· Oversight of major training programmes with a track record of achieving the target goals
· Experience of leading deadline driven training projects to support business change


Essential:
· Broad knowledge of Risk and Compliance processes and procedures in an Investments/Asset Management environment
· Extensive Learning & Development Management and Consultancy experience, focused on business change programmes
· Highly articulate individual with excellent written communications, presentation, facilitation and training delivery skills
· Strong stakeholder management experience
· Extensive experience and skills using Learning Management Systems and e learning design and delivery
· Strong workshop design, delivery and facilitation skills
· Strong coaching and interpersonal skills
· Previous activities relating to risk, legal or compliance, or a combination
· Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Desirable:
· Experience of supporting Risk, Legal or Compliance projects useful
· Previous Risk and Compliance management experience useful
