Risk Specialist - Project Risk Controls Specialist - London/Birmingham/Manchester/Bristol - 6 months

Role Overview:

We are transforming our portfolio to deliver 5G, Cloud and IP products and solutions for our customers, which is a critical component of our client's digital transformation and simplification. We have started migrating all our customers to these new products and will retire legacy portfolio fully by 2025. This migration is the largest, and most important customer focused change in our market, for us and our customers in the last 15 years.

To meet the product, network, and exchange closure timescales we need to accelerate customer migrations. This requires an expanded migration programme to plan and execute sufficient migration activity across all our customer segments to achieve the optimum commercial and customer outcomes, on time.

Responsibilities to Include:

  • Design and embed the governance and control processes for controls across both Project and Programme level- own relevant Governance sessions to support Programme Delivery
  • Responsible for working alongside project teams to ensure all risks, issues and dependencies are accurately logged, actively managed and the impact to critical path is assessed and understood
  • Work with PMO and PM lead to ensure the Programme plan is accurate and the risk profile is communicated to Senior Management
  • Work independently and be proactive in approach, to identify and agree actions plans for all Risks and Issues across the programme
  • Integrate Programme controls with external teams and provide accurate and timely data
  • Provide insight and trends for Senior Management to review and apply remedial action as required

  • Strong stakeholder and consultive skills to support and coach teams to improve quality and outcomes
  • Demonstrable professional project & programme risk/issue/dependency management skills
  • Proactive, innovative, self-motivated with a results-driven attitude and the confidence to challenge Stakeholders to gain accurate information
  • Ability to influence, challenge and change mindsets to support the Programme and drive success
  • Experience of working in a PMO, central planning or governance function.
  • Relevant qualifications (ie APMP Level D / Prince II/MSP desirable)
