Our Central Government client based in either London, Warrington or Bristol are currently recruiting for a Risk Manager. The team is responsible for the delivery of the Change Transformation Programme supporting Capabilities and the Business Change Directors and their programmes.

The Portfolio & Programme team remit is to service the needs of the Change and Investment Committees by assessing, analysing and reporting information which enables sound portfolio decisions to be made. The PMO focuses on Programmes as key stakeholders and ensures they have the support, guidance and assurances needed to deliver programmes effectively. The Portfolio team remit is to ensure we are committing to the right workstreams and that we deliver them in a coordinated and consistent way.

RAID processes require attention to improve the level of maturity, particularly the recording of assumptions and dependencies. The current focus on the quality of risk descriptions needs to remain whilst continuing to upskill programme/project managers.

Role:

Supporting the Portfolio RAId Manager to:

  • Uplift the maturity of the portolio RAId function;
  • Manage the monthly portfolio RAId reporting process;
  • Support the programme RAId functions to build compliance to processes and standards.

Key maturity deliverables include:

  • RAID compliance metrics and reports designed;
  • Programmes consistently using a common approach to identifying opportunities;
  • Risk & Issues Management Plan and Risk Strategy embedded within programmes;
  • Reliable and consistent RAId reports feed into committees and boards;
  • Identify "RAId Champions" within programmes and facilitate appropriate training;
  • Initiate improvement action for areas with low compliance to standards;
  • RAId MI and reports for compliance to standards and RAId status routinely produced;
  • Improved adherence to RAId logs among programmes;
  • Programmes have regular RAId reviews are in place;
  • RAId champions to assisting to build compliance to processes and standards.
