This global organisation in the engineering services sector are looking to hire a Finance Manager to work within their Emergency Services division, where they deliver on extensive training schemes and related services to the emergency services across the UK.

You will report directly into the Head of Finance, and focus on the consolidation of actuals, budgets and forecasts, as well as ad-hoc Group requests.

About your new role

Key duties will include:

  • Assisting the Head of Finance with preparation of monthly actuals, budgets, forecasts and management of the overheads budget.
  • Review of short term cash forecast.
  • Review of BPC consolidation loads and assisting line of business finance teams with error resolutions.
  • Primary central contact for external audit and tax advisors, coordinating responses across the business unit.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are maintained and reconciled.
  • Loading of actuals and budgets to group consolidation system.
  • Assisting in the development of financial processes and controls, in particular consistent balance sheet reviews across the line of business.
  • Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts and tax packs as required.
  • Work with the BU central finance team to forecast cash-flows.
  • Preparation of central overhead budget/forecast.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management packs, management accounts, cash-flow submission, budgets, forecasts.
  • Operating in line with the Group's corporate governance policies, processes and procedures including those relating to Health and Safety.
  • Individually specified objectives.

About you

  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
  • Experience of supervising others highly desirable
  • Big4 or similar chartered accountancy background desirable
  • Willing to occasionally travel to other UK sites as required
