My client, a large international manufacturing company based in Slough, is currently seeking a Reporting Accountant to join them on a 6-month contract.

You should ideally be immediately available or on a maximum of 1 week's notice, and be able to work via your own limited company or an umbrella company.

You will be tasked with delivering accurate, timely and relevant financial information to the Corporate reporting team, ensuring application of corporate and local accounting policies. You will deliver all local legal requirements for reporting, including tax information & statutory accounts whilst managing relationships with the shared service centre. You will;

  • Ensure month end processes are completed successfully and on-time
  • Work with the shared service centre to produce statutory accounts information / full accounts and tax reporting
  • Ensure oversight of provisions / general journals / accruals posted by shared service centre
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review all corporate reporting requirements
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to the UK business
  • Review hedging information for corporate treasury

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with 2+ years post qualified experience in industry
  • Experience in a group reporting environment, including exposure to statutory accounts and tax, dealing with external auditors and corporate requests and requirements
  • Strong IFRS knowledge
  • Experience in the Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG or Pharmaceuticals industry is preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and experience of SAP & Hyperion

  • Able to interpret management & statutory accounts
  • Strong analytical skills, including data manipulation in systems
  • Able to develop bespoke reports to support decision making
  • Able to present financial data clearly & accurately in a credible manner to non-finance people
