The regional communications and events manager will be accountable for managing the end to end creation, planning, budget and execution of global internal and external events, including all-hands, keystone forums, tradeshows and customer events.

This is a hand on role with huge scope for creativity and inspirational delivery of events with global travel, ensuring our Subsea Connect value proposition is refreshing and inspiring at all our internal and external events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and deliver the technical requirements for all BH OFE internal and external events including regional and executive all-hands, trades and exhibitions and customer events.
  • Create detailed project plans that include strategy for the event, desired outcomes as well as all logistics from invitee lists to run of show.
  • Act as a guide to monitor for technical and production staff, oversight, scheduling, and planning of all technical and production requirements, including audiovisual (AV) lighting and sound, staging, and video production.
  • Develop cost estimates and scopes of work; execute and manage the full production schedule, including preproduction and rehearsals of all events.

Qualification / Requirements:

  • A passion for events with a deep understanding of how event engagement supports business objectives
  • Creative approach to development of event concepts - "think outside the box" - with a desire to constantly innovate and improve all event aspects
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling briefs for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Driven, self-starter with an ability to prioritize projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong planning, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Previous experience in organising large scale exhibitions and events is essential
  • Exceptional relationship management and organisational skills
  • Highly flexible, collaborative problem solver - able to adjust, suggest and change direction on events as needed
  • Proven ability to work with 3rd party agencies to drive success
  • International events experience is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement events and campaigns
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in events in an international environment
  • Proven Oil & Gas industry events experience
