Quantity Surveyor

£20 p/h

Rosyth based

6 month contract

Please note that this is a 4.5 day working week.

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the day to day running of the commercial aspects in the delivery of a Project.

  • Ensure variations are dealt with timely and in accordance with the Conditions of Contract
  • Maintain effective communications with project management, team and other associated disciplines
  • Ensure contract specific change control processes are maintained
  • Ensure the production of monthly actual cost and value reports, forecasts and cash flow information for presentation to management.
  • Preparation, submission and agreement of interim payment applications, in accordance with the provision of contracts.
  • Support the management of Risk ensuring Risk is identified, appropriately measured and mitigated
  • Accurate management of costs for subcontracts including change management
  • Support project reporting cycles
  • Promote commercial awareness within the project team providing guidance and advice where required
  • Monitor contract compliance
  • Measurement and Valuations
  • Ensure professionalism, optimism, energy and drive are displayed
  • Ensure that company policy, rules and regulations are adhered to
  • Strive for improvement and ensure lessons learned are captured and encompassed into future projects across the business
  • Provide commercial input to contracts and tenders.

At a minimum, three years' experience on commercial projects preferably using NEC3 and FIDIC

  • Degree educated in a related construction commercial discipline
