Assurance Co-ordinator

Assurance Co-ordinator required for a new and exciting opportunity to join a FTSE 100 Organisation based in Portsmouth, coordinating the oversight of all Engineering standards, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment matters related to specialist and general engineering across multiple locations. This role will work in close connection with Engineering Standards Teams, Quality Managers and Health & Safety Advisors.

Salary: £45,000 per year + Car allowance

Contract: Until July 2018 - Potential of turning permanent.

Location: Portsmouth

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a register and plan of all engineering related audit programmes across all sites.
  • Assist management by ensuring that approved maintenance procedures have been checked, amended and updated with appropriate UK MA Accountable Management authorisations.
  • Support the acquisition and maintenance of ISO management system approvals.
  • Identify arising issues within Areas of Responsibility and raising these to immediate attention.
  • Act as the contracts technical support expert in relevant Engineering Standards, Quality Assurance and HSE topics.
  • Maintain a regular interface with; contract personnel, auditor across all sites, Functional/ Operational Line Manager and peers across the organisation.
  • Be fully conversant with MEDA and its application in the workplace.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • HNC/HND Qualified or appropriate relevant experience.
  • IRCA auditor or relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years broad base Eng Stds, QA and HSE management/adviser experience in public or private commercial organisations.
  • Proficient in MS Office especially Outlook and must be able to manipulate data on Excel spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145, EASA Part M 143, ISO 9001:2008 and CAA Safety regulations.
  • Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance, a professionally recognised body or equivalent in experience.
