QA Test Analyst

We are actively looking to secure an enthusiastic and knowledgeable QA Test Analyst to join Experis.

Job Purpose

We require an experienced QA Test Analyst to work onsite with one of our clients who are a leading broadcasting media organisation offering both TV & Telecommunication services to over 10 million homes.

The QA Test Analyst will be working with the software team throughout the entire development process, the QA will ensure that the solutions being developed are of a high quality whilst meeting the requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Exploratory and automated testing to ensure quality.
  • Working as a productive team member to ensure our deliverables are met
  • Raising concerns early and ensuring defects are followed through to completion
  • Release management/environment owners
  • Working with design/tech analysts and tech leads to design and write QA stories.
  • Ability to work closely with developers helping with stories and happy/unhappy scenarios
  • Working closely with DIT team to ensure builds are in the correct environments
  • Following industry best practices and Sky specific standards where they exist
  • Ensuring that your testing approach is smart and gives us confidence around the quality of our software deliveries
  • Understanding QA tools and programming languages
  • Continuous integration
  • You must be passionate about software testing and quality. We work to tight deadlines but still need to deliver high quality reliable software.
  • You will have an interest in becoming an expert on the software products we produce so you can help continuously improve quality
  • Ownership of service/products and point of contact should issues arise
  • Actively participate in sprint planning
  • Write tests either before or in parallel with developers
  • Manage and support releases into dev, test and product
  • Manage dependencies between components

  • Strong technical skills
  • Passionate about delivering high quality software
  • Detailed in their approach to testing.
