QA Automation Tester

You will be part of a scrum team and work alongside QAs from other scrum teams in a scaled agile setup. You will be expected to automate as much of your testing as possible and run your test suite as part of continuous integration (where your tests form part of your codebase). By enabling testing the code automatically every time developers make a change, you'll be able to find defects more quickly. Providing fast feedback means development team can respond to any problems quickly and make changes when need to.

Minimum Requirement:

You should be well experienced in selenium, jmeter, Jenkins, Junit, Maven, Cucumber, Gherkin, APIs, BDD, browser stack, CSS selector, wave web accessibility tool, defect management, automation script creation, integration testing, owasp, Zap, end to end testing, performance testing, regression testing and system testing.

Key Skills:

  • Should have experience of working in Scrum team and working collaboratively with all members of Scrum team
  • Extensive hands on test experience within Agile projects, with a strong understanding of the sprint, CI and release testing lifecycles.
  • Pro-active engagement in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and execution.
  • Knowledge, experience and ability to learn Open Source Test and Defect Management Tools, and other commonly used test & defect management tools.
  • Defining and advising on test scope, approach, risks and assumptions.
  • Extensive hands on experience in delivering testing against a rich and varied functional and technical landscape including cloud based infrastructure.
  • Strong experience of risk based test planning, preparation, execution and reporting (including all typical deliverables).
  • Experience of managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and test execution
  • Ability to review, understand and query technical aspects from architectural diagrams and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to hold complex test discussions with architects, SMEs and Operational Teams
  • Ability to provide clear and concise risk based advice on all test matters.
  • Experience in engaging with various stakeholders to get a buy in on approach and co-ordination and scheduling of work to assist in test design and execution.
  • Experience of enabling testing for projects which involve integration with other services, organisations or legacy systems.
  • Track record and evidence of having delivered such Functional Testing services across variety of technologies and projects.
  • Extensive automation experience and the ability to specify, to develop and to implement automation frameworks and advice on best practice.
  • Experience of BDD and ATDD (including Specification by Example).
  • Experience of containerised techniques, using Docker, and Cloud Based Hosting.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with micro service architectures and data services.
