Project Support Officer

We have an opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on a leading energy provider account. This is a chance to be part of an award winning organisation whose key priority is investing in its people.

The main of the post are to:

  • Provide excellent project or programme related support across the Project Manager.
  • Assist with effective communication between project management and the contractor.
  • Maintaining central project records and producing regular management reports.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily triage meetings with the customer,
  • Supporting the ongoing improvement process,
  • Supporting the PM with financial reports and documents,
  • Establish and maintain Project Delivery plans, reflecting new and established releases, using account standard planning tools and techniques,
  • Assisting in managing and tracking the updates to release level and core delivery plans,
  • Attend development and progress meetings, producing reports and minutes,
  • Provide specific support to Project Managers,
  • Manage project risk register and work with project manager and project leads to manage project risks,
  • Establish and maintain project controls, keeping the project manager aware of the project status,
  • Assist in preparing project performance reports,
  • Ensure organisational tasks are carried out efficiently,
  • Manage and monitor compliance of the project with project leads,
  • Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential

  • *SAP - desirable. To support the PM with financial documents.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Risks and Issues Management, evidenced by their ability to establish and verify risks and issues, and produce reports reflecting same for Risk Review meetings
  • Understanding of project management methodologies
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Programme-level planning in an IT-driven change delivery programme
  • Developing and delivering reports to key stakeholders at all levels
  • Building and sustaining relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project, including use of Project On Line
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
