Project Manager - Test & Trial


We are actively looking to secure a Senior Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Our client is a distinctive and exciting brand offering customers the best content by utilising the latest technologies over IP networks and across multiple platforms. The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on E2E Test & Trial manager to lead the strategy and implementation of end-to-end integration test, technical trials and customer trials of our client's most significant and high-profile delivery initiatives over the coming years.

As a senior member of the Product & Service Delivery group, you'll be a role model for test and trial best practice, informing overall strategy and implementation of these practices.


  • Define both E2E Test and Trial approaches for new, large scale projects within the portfolio of projects being delivered by the team as part of the scoping phase of the project.
  • Lead the E2E test phase of programme increments, working with test resources from the different delivery teams to ensure all integration defects are found and resolve
  • Management of defects for any technical issues found in either E2E test or trial phases during the project delivery phases
  • Define and lead staff and customer Trials, working with resources from Operations, Product and Tech teams to ensure we are ready to launch the new products/services
  • Facilitate and drive the overall success of test and trials, gaining buy-in from all of the delivery teams and where necessary taking ownership for the progression and project management of releases, test cases and defect fixes.
  • Provide structure and guidance to the test and trial elements of the project and to be the calm voice of reason within the delivery to ensure the focus is on the key priorities.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships across the business, operational and delivery areas and to be a trusted delivery resource. Our team works across the end to end delivery of projects and you will be required to manage cross functional teams to ensure the testing is successfully delivered.
  • Innovate to continuously improve e2e test & trial best practice both within the team and externally.

Skills & experience are we looking for?

This role will have high visibility within the company: you will be working with all parts of the organisation as you will be involved in end-to-end delivery for our client's largest and most exciting new launches.

It is a challenging and rewarding role, and the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and resilient.

  • Importantly, you will have a pragmatic results- and delivery- oriented mindset, with a track record of having led and facilitated end-to-end test & trials on very large cross-enterprise initiatives, ideally in the telecommunications domain but this domain experience is not essential.
  • You will have vision, drive, diplomacy and the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders, being able to influence others without direct authority.
  • Ability to define, get buy-in for, and then implement the E2E test and trial strategy for the overall programme.
  • Hands on, pragmatic and proactive approach to build momentum and good practice for the programme e2e system test approaches, including taking accountability for programme agreement and implementation on connectivity, environment and release strategy in available non-production environments.
  • Hands on, pragmatic and proactive approach to build momentum and good practice for the programme trial and UAT approaches across software, hardware and operations, including taking accountability for programme agreement and implementation of technical, programme, staff and ramp trials.
  • Comfortable working in an incremental delivery methodology, defining risk-based test/trial strategy & test/trial plans for overall programme and for each programme increment
  • Excellent testing, UAT, project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of stakeholder management at Senior Exec level, be able to communicate and translate the technical messages into succinct key updates to the wider executive teams
  • Confident presentation skills to large audiences of varying seniority and be able to get your message across clearly and succinctly

Depending on your preference, we can base this role in our Head Office in Osterley, West London, or our offices in Brick Lane, East London. Some travel to other locations throughout the UK, Germany and Italy may be required from time to time.
