Project Manager

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join Experis on a permanent basis. We are actively looking to secure a Project Manager to join Experis and work on an exciting new project for one of our clients.

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Customer Management Delivery Team within UK Information Services reporting into the relevant Delivery Manager. The main purpose of this role is to successfully deliver an agreed project(s) scope to an agreed budget and timescale. This will involve managing the whole project(s) lifecycle from initiation through to closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with project stakeholders to scope & shape a project.
  • Understanding the business need, breaking it down with the project team into a practical scope within the timescales required
  • Ensuring that technology deliverables are appropriate to business requirements in terms of quality, cost and time-scale
  • Having an in-depth understanding of functional specifications, requirements and designs before signing off on delivery
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to review the level of benefits realisation of the project, undertake project completion reviews, capturing and sharing lessons learned
  • Prioritising scope for complex and multi-Stakeholder projects, where there may be conflicting business priorities
  • Proactively managing risk and issues across your projects

This will involve managing a number of projects at different stages of their lifecycle or managing a large complex workstream as part of a programme.

Candidate Specification

  • Project and/or programme management experience; ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently. Able to build a clear and deliverable schedule for a complex project across multiple platforms and business areas
  • Experience of the software development lifecycle (waterfall/agile/others) and worked on large complex enterprise technology projects / programmes.
  • Proven influencing and communicating skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong track record of delivering results consistently: ability to plan and organise self and a team in order to achieve stretched objectives and targets.
  • A desire to take accountability for delivery of outcomes and a determination to meet and exceed the expectations of customers.
  • Strong networking skills used to build up and maintain key relationships throughout technology and the business functions.
  • Experience in the identification, assessment and management of project risks - able to manage the risk not just the list.
  • The ability to present to wide ranging audiences in a clear and concise manner, discussing a range of project based issues, progress, risks, etc, for complex scenarios and representing numerous teams' interest
