Project Manager/SCRUM Master

In a high profile role you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of complex system solutions, through delivering primarily agile projects. You'll use your strong interpersonal skills to identify and engage with project stakeholders and then manage all ongoing communications to ensure all are kept informed at an appropriate level.

As the Scrum Master you'll be the driving force for ensuring scrum is understood and enacted. Working in close collaboration with the Platform Lead, who has responsibility for ownership of the developer resource, you'll be responsible for coaching the development team to self-organise and create high-value products, and remove impediments to the Development Teams' progress.

Responsibilities:

  • To create, manage and coach a multi skilled team to deliver against an agreed backlog of products
  • Work with the Product Owner to construct, separate and prioritise the product backlog
  • To monitor the team performance and take action as necessary to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the team
  • Facilitate/participate in key Agile rituals across Scrum teams
  • Coach team members as needed, including resolving conflict
  • Work collaboratively with the team to identify barriers and work with the business to remove them
  • Set the standards for agile delivery
  • Run daily stand up meetings and take any follow up actions needed, in addition to attending scrum stand ups on behalf of the team and any other meetings where a team activity report is needed
  • Monitor and report on key Agile performance metrics to leadership team
  • Provide training on Agile development in addition to educating on adapting an agile mind-set and coaching the team on technology practices

Skills and Experience:

  • 2 years+ experience as a Scrum Master
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile Approaches (Scrum, Kanban and Lean)
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills a must; can present formally or informally
  • Experience using Agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • A proven track record in mentoring and working collaboratively with others
