I am recruiting a Project Management Professional to work for a leading FTSE 250 Defence Engineering Organisation who deliver a wide range of design, manufacturing and operational support projects to defence customers.

The successful applicant will join a diverse and dynamic team of project, engineering and other functional staff working together on exciting projects to deliver cutting edge engineering technology to its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the project team(s) to assist in the management and reporting of project resources, risk, opportunities and issues.
  • Provide support to the management of the business Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Business Management System (BMS)
  • Support project stakeholder management and communications
  • Collation and production of project data and reports to support project governance and reporting arrangements.
  • Provision of change and configuration control services to the project teams
  • Creation of demand to the supply chain
  • Managing, maintaining and updating of project documents
  • Create and support working groups
  • Gathering updates from Key Stakeholders/Project Leads
  • Creating local project processes and templates
  • Support the implementation of normal project governance and reporting procedure

Requirements

  • Project Management experience within an Engineering environment is essential
  • Able to apply core competencies, such as Procurement, Scheduling, Budget and Cost Control, Risk, Stakeholder Management, Communications, reviews and Change Control
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain full SC Security Clearance.
  • A strong team player and effective communicator who is keen to drive achievement of milestones and can encourage and challenge engineering, supply chain and production teams towards success.
  • Process oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
