Project Manager - Business Change

£47,000 - £58,000 + excellent benefits and flexible working

An exciting opportunity working as a Project Manager - Business Change has become available with one of our high profile clients based in Newport, Wales.

The client is one of the largest producers of statistics in the UK and are internationally recognized for the data that they produce. As a result of continuous growth they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and deliver the fast Business change needed to support their Digital Services and Technology Transformation.

The Project Manager will work alongside one or more Project Delivery Managers to both enable staff to adopt the new technology being delivered and inspire/encourage/support staff to adopt new ways of working as a result

Responsibilities:

  • Promoting, persuading, negotiating, being an ambassador to gain staff buy-in at all levels to meet rigorous project timescales
    * Managing project dependencies; working with Project Delivery Manager(s) to prioritise their changes to maximise successful adoption
    * Ensuring clear, consistent, frequent and appropriate communications to staff at all levels
    * Identifying and delivering training via a variety of approaches
    * Provision of training materials to enable self-help / support post change adoption
    * Managing project dependencies; working with Project Delivery Manager(s) to prioritise roll-outs to maximise successful adoption

Skills and experience required:

  • Expert in leading a project which includes the provision of advice, guidance, mentoring and coaching to the delivery team
    * Expert in identifying and removing blockers that hinder delivery, manage risks and dependencies within, and between delivery teams
    * Managing people and agile delivery to develop high-performing, self-motivated and collaborative teams
    * Expert in using Agile tools and techniques to track progress against delivery, current items in backlog, risks, issues and blockers in order to communicate project status to the team and stakeholders
    * Expert in driving continuous, demonstrable improvements in the team and products, based on data derived from actual delivery
    * Work with the Delivery Team to ensure that the product/platform/service follows the strategic roadmap, ensuring that the work is broken down into iterations and user stories where appropriate
    * Managing Budgets and Finances
    * Managing Supplier Relationships & Procurement
