The work location is in LONDON and is a 5 months contract.

Pay rate is between £500 - £600 per day.

The role is working for a well-established, multi-national retailer and specialises in clothing, home and luxury product.

Your Profile

We're looking for has a minimum of 10 years IT Project Management/Delivery Management experience, of which the last 5 has been delivering large and complex projects and/or programmes.

Must Haves

  • Project management experience/ in the IT/digital department of a large organization
  • Proven track record in delivery of large digital implementations
  • Appropriate project management qualifications (Prince / PMI / Agile)
  • Retail ecommerce experience
  • Experience of project planning, budgeting and control
  • Strong organizational capability
  • Result driven approach to work
  • Excellent and proactive communications skills

Summary of Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing and delivering a large scale digital project to a strict deadline. You must be able to deliver the projects on time, on budget and with agreed upon functionality, utilizing various IT and project methodologies:

  • Leadership - Setting goals for the project team and leading them through the change process to success:

- Lead the assigned project/product teams through the project change

- Display expertise on project management methodology and tools

- Lead the project teams with integrity, honesty, and knowledge

- Effectively manage project teams through unusual events to keep the team operating to standard

- Engage wider teams on any impacts that may arise and assist in planning/management of efficient resolution of these.

- Act as a champion and advocate for assigned projects

  • Planning and Execution - Develop plans for the project team, lead execution, and monitor progress:

- Creation of project budgets in conjunction with sponsor and business functions

- Plan and monitor the project producing associated project documentation

- Organisation and chairing of project meetings for assigned projects

- Manage progress, taking corrective action and/or escalating as required

- Report to the Steering Group and line manager on matters of progress, exception and to ensure overall direction

- Organise the necessary training required resulting from implementation

- Project reporting

- Structure project work and plans using a structured project framework

  • Communication and Engagement

- Ensure communication is relevant, timely and effective

- Make sure that all stakeholders are engaged, and part of the process

- Work to enhance the professionalism at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in the IT department of a multinational organisation
  • Strong experience in all areas of digital technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience in managing internal and external teams
  • Experience in managing distributed teams in multiple time zones
