Role: Project Manager
Duration: 8 Months +
Rate: £500 - £540 per day Inside IR35
Location: London/Birmingham/Leeds/Bristol - on-site 2/3 days
Role Overview:
To assist in the management of a project to deliver transformational change (people, process, and systems) initiatives/programmes across FND to realise our strategy and meet key business objectives. The role will either support the project manager on large projects, or to manage your own, to ensure that change is governed through requirements, design, build and deployment stages to ensure programme and key sign off criteria success to meet FND goals. The role will assist in the delivery and management of major transformational projects to realise business benefits and enhance customer experience
Responsibilities to Include:
- Owning as well as assisting in the delivery of transformation programmes and projects (c£0.5-£3m and delivering efficiencies of £0.5-£2m+).
- Support with the delivery of project(s), from design through build, deployment, and handover into sustain with the change being considered as BAU.
- Identify and manage risk and issues and support corrective measurement or management through senior stakeholder forums.
- Lead project governance throughout the project lifecycle, including the creation and management of detailed programme plans.
Design
- Supporting the translation of business cases/solutions into actionable delivery plan, ensuring collaboration with the discovery arm between design and build to secure successful business case sign off.
- Work with operational stakeholders so that they can deliver the project through their parts of the business and secure the end-to-end business benefits
- Shape internal communication for the business transformation programme and secure the commitment of key stakeholders
Build and Implementation
- Lead project governance throughout the project lifecycle, including the creation and management of detailed programme plans
- Manage the main programme's documentation e.g. programme charter, plan on a page, briefing material etc.
- Managing stakeholders (internal and external) on in-flight programmes, to ensure buy in and mitigating impact to operational performance.
- Identify and manage risks and issues and support corrective measurements or managing through senior stakeholder forums
- Provide support to operational stakeholders so that they can deliver the project through their parts of the business and secure the end-to-end business benefits
- Work closely with the portfolio and PMO teams to deliver regular reports on progress, manage risks and handle change control in line with the required processes and standards
Deployment and sustainability
- Support the internal communication for the business transformation programme and secure the commitment of key stakeholders
- Support project closure to ensure operational teams can sustain change as BAU
- Experience of managing change (delivery) programmes in a fast paced environment including: cultural, system, process and people impact.
- Aptitude for mental agility and innovation, and significant analytical capability
- Aptitude and willingness for learning, understanding complex theories and solving problems
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Strong analytical skills
- Will need to be able to make decisive decisions and influence others to achieve the right business outcomes
