Project EngineerPermanent, Full-timeRosyth Based About the roleHere at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our Liquified Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships that carry Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) across the globe. Current projects are mainly in South Korea and China at the biggest shipyards in the world and we are also involved in numerous other projects and locations.You'll be part of a large project function which includes mechanical, electrical and chemical engineers and you'll sit within the Internal Project Team. You will ensure that LGE employees have all of the equipment that they need to deliver the project.Working with the internal procurement team and using the skills you acquired whilst studying your engineering degree, you will resolve technical and engineering issues as and when they arise. This includes ensuring that the equipment is fit for purpose, setting up purchase orders, ensuring that the equipment is being shipped correctly and manage any shipping errors.As well as being part of a business that continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, we'll also provide you with all the training, support and benefits that you'd expect from a global company.
