Project Buyer / Procurement SpecialistLeicesterPermanent Here at Cavendish Nuclear we are looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join our team based in Leicester. Supporting complex projects within the nuclear industry, the procurement specialist will procure parts, equipment and services with a focus on cost, performance and quality.Using your experience of delivering procurement solutions into a large organisation or engineering business, you will support the Procurement Leadership team in delivering their strategic procurement plan. You will also be involved in managing sourcing and tendering processes, developing effective procurement strategies and managing a diverse supply chain, which will include monitoring performance and leading negotiations.What do I need to do to do the role?A track record in engineering or manufacturing within a related industry sector such as nuclear, aerospace and electronics, engineering or M&E, oil and gas, plant and equipment, power and process, or transmission and distribution.The ability to interpret a technical drawing, understand the requirements and then work with our supplier to source the required parts or materialsAn understanding of end to end supplier management processesThe role would suit a skilled technician looking for a project based role or a move into supply chain / purchasing role.
