Project Accountant Salary up to £35,000 Per Year Plymouth 12 Month FTC (Potential to turn permanent)Here at Babcock International we are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant based at the Devonport Royal Dockyard in Devonport. Working in the Defence System Technology business unit the successful candidate will be preparing management accounts, developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders by providing Market Insight in the form of presentations and meetings in a manner that all non-accountancy professionals can understand. You will also be involved with the preparation of month end accounts and subsequent balance sheet reconciliations.What do I need to do the role? You'll need to be working towards or currently hold a recognised professional qualification. If Part qualified, industry experience will be taken in to account. Would also like you to have all or some of the following:Have experience in Project Accounting, ideally within an international manufacturing environment, although other industries are acceptable.Be proficient with Microsoft Office - in particular, Excellent Excel skills (use of lookups and pivot tables). Macros preferable.Have experience of IFS and/or SAP Business Planning and Consolidation.Lastly we would like you to be able to relate to people outside of finance and bring details to life.What else do I need to know? SC Security clearance required. Occasional travel will be required with some overnight stays away from home.
