Programme Manager (VOIP, Wi-Fi, Cisco, Ethernet) - Basingstoke - 6 months

Programme Manager (VOIP, Wi-Fi, Cisco, Ethernet) required to join a Telecommunications and Intranet Service Provider based in Basingstoke on a 6 month contract.

Skills & Experience

  • Programme Management (5 years +)
  • At least 5 years + project management experience
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification
  • Good understanding of the following technologies WAN deployments, IPVPN, SDH, Dark fibre, Ethernet products, VOIP, Optical & DWDM networks, Security Products, Wi-Fi installs
  • Cisco Product knowledge desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with good Excel and MSP skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and communications skills.


  • Successfully integrates knowledge of network and systems infrastructure with project management methodologies to support implementation of IT projects.
  • Works with the management team to assess resource requirements, allocate staff and assign responsibilities.
  • Coordinates and monitor tasks assigned to resources.
  • Monitors and control project costs and budgeting for all resources including people, material, expenses, etc.
  • Attends weekly project team meetings and weekly project status reports that communicate project progress (including risks, schedule and budget status) to manager and project stakeholders.
  • Manages escalation of issues.
  • Communicates and collaborates with project team and manager to ensure that project deliverables are completed.
  • Assesses and manages the technical and project risks associated with client projects.
  • Participates in client interactions/project updates to ensure high-degree of client satisfaction.
  • Proactively builds and maintains strong client/partner relationships to facilitate expansion of the client's business opportunities.
  • Informs the management team of potential opportunities within existing or new client accounts.
