Programme Manager required for an initial 3 month contract based in Farnborough

Role

This role is responsible for developing, leading and effectively communicating business winning and delivery performance and ensures Integrated Campaign & Integrated Delivery Teams (ICTs / IDTs) manage and improve their performance in line with the 'Route to Growth' agenda with specific focus on IDTs within the International business and all ICTs.

Accountabilities

  1. Focal point for overseeing and driving business performance and for establishment and management of effective business performance reporting at all levels
  2. Directing and coordinating a team of subject matter specialists from functions across the business.
  3. Providing guidance, advice and recommendations to Programme andBsuiness Development Directors onICT /IDT performance
    1. Throughout the business lifecycle from capture to delivery;
    2. Focussed around cost, schedule performance and customer satisfaction;
    3. Engagement with ICT / IDT Leads to discuss performance and to provide challenge in a constructive and collaborative style backed up by factual analysis
    4. Monitoring , reviewing & reporting on ICT / IDT performance of the business (e.g. metrics, revenue cover
    5. Benchmarking ICT / IDT performance in conjunction with the Performance Excellence function and other Group businesses to provide perspective of performance across ICT / IDTs
    6. Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and business performance reporting and for recommending improvements to corporate business intelligence systems
    7. Coach and mentor ICT / IDT Leads on business performance reporting
  4. Deputising with delegated authority for Programme Director at ICT / IDT and project reviews, and leading the preparation of programme demand to inform the S&OP cycle
  5. Governing and ensuring that appropriate project management & review processes are being used and for providing guidance on their use and interpretation.
  6. Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate tools are in place to support efficient project and resource management in conjunction with S&OP and W&FP and under delegated authority is responsible for the total demand signal from all on contract demand
  7. Maintain and own the Portfolio Risk Register as required, and ensuring specific ICT / IDT level business resilience, standards, business assurance and risk register compliance requirements are met, including compliance with all required regulatory/standards frameworks and in line with Performance Excellence Risk Management best practice.
  8. Conducting audits of ICTs and ICT / IDTs against Programme Policies, identifying areas for improvement and managing follow on actions with the ICT / IDT Leads.
  9. Maintain the Portfolio Management Plan, Portfolio Stakeholder Plan and Portfolio Risk Plan.
