My client based in Edinburgh have a requirement for a Programme Director to come in on a 6 month contract to work closely with both the IT and R&D team. For the IT side of the role, it will see you organising project activity with various stakeholders and managing/reporting/documenting on progress. You will manage various technical resources effectively and ensure efficiency through effective resource allocation. Working closely with the IT PMO team, you will lead the process improvement effort within the business whilst building and nurturing strong relationships with senior leaders, project managers and various other stakeholders across the business. For the R&D side of the role, you will expected to manage the schedules, supplies, equipment and resources to drive productivity and efficiency across this side of the business. Furthermore, you will have responsibility in the writing of technical documents to a high standard, in line with business requirements - ensuring all budgets and corporate requirements are met.In order to be considered for this exciting position, you will need:Experience with managing programmes of work in both IT and R&D.Over 10 years' experience of management in the chemical/materials industryOver 5 years' experience running successful environments/teamsA mixture of IT and business knowledge and experience to successfully manage end to end IT deliveryStrong requirements gathering skillsExperience in the pharmaceutical industryStrong experience managing customer relationshipsProven delivery experience with cross functional teamsIf this role sounds of interest to you then please apply.
