Production Operator

Cardiff

£9.84 Shift Rate

Weekly Shift Rotation - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm

My client will has opened several exciting contract opportunities based in Cardiff for Production Operators.

Key responsibilities include:

Successful candidates will work in a DNA-controlled cleanroom that manufactures DNA sample collection cards, devices and kits, used by police forces and research laboratories. The roles will require proactive employees who are engaged in continuous improvement and team culture orientated. Responsibilities will also include customer focus through MPS schedule and demand fulfilment.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Health and Safety focused
  • Able to work to a controlled documented process
  • Focused on Quality and Compliance
  • Target Driven
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing role.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a cross-functional team in a solution-driven manner
  • The ability to work on own initiative whilst being part of a wider team.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in cleanrooms
  • Experience in CNC Desirable
  • Experience in setting machines i.e. Printers, guillotines, die tools
  • Experience operating an automated machine
  • Ability to teach and coach others

The role will involve operations in the clean rooms and may involve lifting reasonable loads and sitting/standing for continued periods of time.

The role will require shift working.
Overtime may be offered during periods of high production demand.

  • We are looking for team players with good communication skills who may be required to work in a controlled environment.
  • Candidates will have excellent attention to details and have a good level of numeracy/literacy.
  • Computer skills would be advantageous, together with the ability to problem solve.
