PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Location: Warrington

Rate: £45.00/hr

Duration : 12 Months

We require a Production Engineer based in Warrington, who has previous experience of a fast-paced production facility and who has experience of checking manufacturing fabrication drawings to ensure their Clients' and relevant British Standards are adhered to.

You should have knowledge and training in BS 8888 and more specifically, you must have significant experience in the origination and application of the ISO GPS product specification So, must be experienced in geometric product specification (ISO GPS) including the use of BS 8888, 8015, 5459, 17450, 1101, 2692, 10579, etc.

General needs

  • Able to, or has experience, in establishing relationships with SMEs.
  • Demonstrate competence working on other manufacturing projects.
  • Used to working within management systems.
  • Capable of making sound decisions based on available information protecting the interests of the Client and the Programme.
  • Understand the significance of the project, the safety implications and the application of ALARP principles in their decision making.
  • Hold good communication skills to negotiate responses and manage interfaces between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to understand and translate the complex issues to differing audiences.

Progress needs

  • Demonstrable track record of delivery to client targets.
  • Experience of providing accurate and understandable progress updates.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve issues.

Technical needs

  • Understanding of manufacturing issues for a volume product.
  • Awareness of Geometric Product Specification (ISO GPS) (BS 8888, 8015 etc.) and its application.
  • Awareness of modern manufacturing processes incl. machining, welding and metrology.
  • Understanding of stainless materials, ideally duplex materials.

Administrative needs

  • Ability and willingness to travel to on a weekly basis
