Technical Product Owner / Business Analyst

3 months + extensions

London

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement with key stakeholders to develop and define business requirements and solution design including system functional design and process re-engineering to deliver business benefits.
  • Work with product managers to break down the planned data propositions into agile stories for development and work with scrum masters/project managers to spell out the detail of delivery
  • Understand and map existing processes to inform approach to new functionality build and data integration opportunities
  • Represent the team in front of external bodies/stakeholders.
  • Support the project delivery phase including testing and training, to ensure the agreed business solutions are delivered successfully.
  • Design and maintain highly resilient and scalable technology services.
  • Work closely with developers and testers, to ensure delivery of the functionality on time and on quality.
  • Provide the required evidences and documentation to the governance bodies.

Skills:

  • Business Analysis skills and expertise in Agile framework, including business requirements, user stories, process mapping and functional design
  • Context aware - able to understand the bigger picture and extrapolate requirements from the wider context (e.g. understand what is happening in a process and what needs to be changed/developed to improve it)
  • Able to work with users/stakeholders to help them see wider possibilities (i.e. not just gather a dictated list of user requirements - ability to probe around a subject to discover opportunities for transformation)
  • Have a strong grasp of detail and understanding and documenting processes
  • Experience of working on transformational projects
  • Understanding of business and business impact (not just IT)
  • Change implementation experience and have a track record of large project delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of IT Security products and processes
  • In depth experience of delivering across the whole of a project lifecycle
  • Ability to negotiate / influence at senior level
  • Self-starter
  • Interpersonal skills / attitude to team collaboration in a fast paced environment
